    • Chemical weapons leave residue that can be analyzed. So, if they really wanted to they could have made sure there were weapons stored. But as everybody knows, the war wasn't about freedom or chemical weapons, because if the Iraquis would have had those the US would not have attacked. Their dictator Saddam, which the CIA installed years before just wasn't taking orders anymore and attacking the wrong countries.

    • saddam did have chemical weapons ask russia where they went by chinook helicopter . . . . also ask about the underground subways underneath the destroyed palaces . . nvm .

  • Blinkist? So cliff notes for modern morons who can't be bothered to read a whole book? I went to Catholic school. Our teachers made it clear that when we were tested on a book it would mostly concern obscure facts not included in the cliff notes. In this way they forced us to read the whole book. I thank them for it now.

  • I stopped watching at 4 minutes when things were faked, my relative was a general in the iraqi army, when the Iraqis withdrawaled from quite they were given safety from the us. However they were mascared when they accepted the cease-fire in highway of death. From civilian prospective the didnt target military targets they actually targeted literally 90% of iraq infrastructure that was one of the top on the word, from bridges to schools hospital's electricity and uranium in farms!!!! So sad to show the criminal shamless attack is something normal in a war....

  • Dude, this video is so inaccurate its astounding, "Every single satellite guided cruise missile missed its target". LOL If you've seen what I've seen you would have never said that, but the entire video is slanted like the poster's opinion. So much for separating yourself from your reporting.

  • The UN had ALREADY established the predicate for invasion. It was on that basis that Britain, Poland, Australia and America proceeded. Do more research. Bush was just trying to get even more nations on board. But because Saddam had bought France, Canada, Russia and Kofi Annan -- such support was not forth coming. It took Volker's investigation to discover just how corrupted the key decision politicians were. Like the Biden's the graft went to (Kofi's) son. Saddam was spreading $$$$ all over Turtle Bay.

    David HimmelsbachDavid Himmelsbach2 gün önce
  • Saddam was later found to have BOUGHT France and Canada and Kofi Annan and Russia was already on his team. The Canadian connection surprised Volker, BTW. He was aghast.

  • A two-pronged attack, from both Kuwait and Turkey is what was planned. Turkey's refusal to cooperate merely blocked one division from crossing their border. The attacking forces were not switched from Turkey to Kuwait. Instead of a division, the 173rd Airborne Brigade was dropped into a northern Iraqi airport and the rest of the brigade was flown in.

  • The issue with the war in Iraq wasn't the reasons for going in. Remember in 1991, Iraq surrendered. There were conditions that came with that. Japan and Germany are still under their conditions of surrender from WWII and WWII would resume if they break that. This is why we invaded Iraq. With that said. Bush decided he wanted his own version of the Camp David Accords and try to one up Clinton by doing this ridiculous nation building exercise. That cost us lives, material, and money with very little return. Once Saddam was dead. The forces should have pulled out. Yes there would have been groups that would have filled in the gap like ISIS and the like. But their ability to project any sort of threat would have been limited once the infrastructure was decimated.

  • No war was ever better conducted until the end. We had no end-game and let random events overtake plans. Instead of using Saddam's security forces in a controlled usage, we disarmed them and inadvertently formed a cadre of enemies. Still and all, I will never forget watching as the lead Bradley vehicle would enter previously unoccupied villages, with results unknown.
