The best version to buy in every generation... all of them. I don’t bother choosing. I’ve been playing since Yellow was the newest installment and have bought, played and beaten every single main series game, along with the majority of spinoffs. Version exclusives don’t mean anything because I trade with myself.

Tbh I love Sword's legendary (Zacian) but my favorite pokemons (including in the Shield DLCs, especially Garchomp in Crown Tundra) are in Shield and if I picked Sword I can't get my favorite pokemons but if I got Shield I can't get Zacian, without trade with another player. He also said Shield is better. Which one should I buy if I can, Sword or Shield? Edit: I probably prefer Allister to Bea but I also prefer Gordie to Melony tho and idk why.

So after beating the elite 4 in gen 5 before you battle Alder you see N and after a while you get the zekrom or reshiram and then you battle Alder right?

Just Imagine getting a Galarian Zapdos in pokemon sword. It's first ability is Defiant, It can learn Bulk Up, Brave Bird, Thunderous kick and Blaze Kick. Brave bird does 120-140 damage which is good against fire type... and thunderous kick is strong against water type. Blaze kick is strong against grass type... So either way... If you get a Galarian Zapdos like in the beginning of the game... If you haven't already beaten the first 3 gyms. Put your Galarian Zapdos on your team, and it'll take you all the way to the 4th...

Blue > Silver > Sapphire > FireRed > Pearl > SoulSilver > Black > White 2 > X > Alpha Sapphire > Moon > Ultra Sun > Let's Go Eevee > Sword
Zacian is more for offense, for people who are swift as an arrow that like to get things done quick. Zamazenta is more for defense, for people who like to take things slow and steady and don't mind if something is gonna go slow.
I tend to pick both versions... All the way up to gen 4 even the enhanced versions. I missed gen 5 for a lot of years (due to my DS getting lost) and by the time I was able to play I was lucky to find black 1 and white 2 and then x only (2014 being a shitty year for pkmn) I picked the pace back up with or/as and then dropped Pokemon after playing moon version... Why am I here? Who knows? Hotel? Trivago
This has been very educational. I like the versions I like but many things I never considered and can now appreciate certain picks better now.
