  • ...I have owned two Samurais going back to December of 1986...still have the has made ten trips from Colorado to California...has around 320,000 miles with one engine rebuild...and is the last vehicle I would ever get rid of...

  • I do agree with some other comments that airing down will give a softer ride but if it gives more traction is debatable . Plus , I believe I would glue the tire to the rim to decrease the chance of spinning the tire on the rim so every time you go back home you won't have to have the wheels rebalanced . I believe that is what they do to construction equipment tires .

  • why not air down? could have made it up alot easier. The jeep had a compressor onboard

  • Well ... since you are comparing a modified vehicle to a stock Samurai ... why not just compare the Suzuki to an airplane, and swoon over the airplane's ability to climb hills without touching them?

  • a spring over conversion and 3" body lift and you can fit 33" tires on that sammy. A little more ground clearance and you would show up that Jeep. I had a 89 K5 Blazer on 38" swampers sunk it in a canal after getting it out my cousin in his sammy on 33" swampers drove through it like nothing. Don't doubt a sammy. Oh and I own a 99 Jeep TJ on 35's . still want a sammy

  • Where the hell did they find a samurai for 2k? I can't find one in the shape for under 4-5k Also I like how they're surprised of the samurais capabilities, especially compared to a modified jeep, if the Sammy had decent tires and a lift it would be amazing

    • If you have 5k its a few really nice ones. But that's just going by the pics. In person might be different. But yeah they all seem higher now. I only paid 1k for mine 7-8 years ago.

    • I just found one for 3k south of Little Rock on craigslist. Looks ok. Don't see any rust in the pics. But you know how pics are. Like new tires. Its one in Houston for 2k but no pics. Says it has rust. But says it has Geo Tracker engine.
