Im dutch and the boer wars is not ok
do a video on the recolonization of africa by the ccp
I like your videos. That being said, they aren't good enough to justify the number of ads I'm forced to watch to get through one. At one point, I was looking at a pop up that was being displayed over your channel sponsor segment. Dial them back.
@Zephyr It's close to me, dummy
@Britannistan Hollandistan no, not even close
England stopped slavery in 1833 in their empire. Slavery was allowed in many colonies. If I am correct slavery existed in a few places in .......... until the 1950's. The place is not named for obvious reasons.
In Sierra Leone the black people were sent there after being denied land in Nova Scotia which they were promised for supporting England in the American Revolution. You did not state this.
The British Empire was the English Empire as Cornwall, Scotland, Wales and Ireland were as controlled and colonized the same as other countries in the empire.
Sudan is the only one capable of breaking the war square
At 2Mil give us armchair historian armchair
Stop being Anti-British. My ancestors fought at The Somme, Gallipoli and Burma in both world wars and they did it know they were fighting for the British Empire. They knew they were fighting to bring order and peace to the globe. Long live the British Empire.
(Laughs in Belgium in the Congo)
The Dervish movement in Somalia, was the longest anticolonial war in Africa, lasting for 21 years, they regularly defeated the armies of the British and Italian empires, they imported thousands of martini rifles, and supplemented their Dervish movement cavalry with these guns they also built impressive castles and forests that are still standing, such as Taleex Qalcad, and Eyl Qalcad
Africa: *BRI'ISH?!?!*
your videos are amazing, i really enjoy the graphics
somewhere down there i probably restarted a comment war that will engulf us into flames
British soldiers: Ah such a nice city with intricate architecture *I'll burn it*
“English King James the 1st” Scots: reeeeeeee
Who was also James VI of Scotland
Am I the only person here because of school?
I do really like this, very good animation and fair veiw of both sides, neither are portayed as antagonists (although we did absoloutly suck) , but one thing you should have done is enclude the use of the British "volley fire" technique, it would make them seem like more of the proffetional, mostly organised force they generally were and maybe should have mentioned the British invention of the "Maxim Machine gun", sorry for likely being annoying, carry on with these great videos
Colonization of Africa is only a natural step in the evolution of the world. Their primitive and backwards nature makes their ownership of the resources of Africa a joke.
Britain: *Bippity bopity bop your land is now my colony, i don't care if you're rebelling me*
the people who dislike the vid must be the british people who deny their own dirty evil history.
They deny their ugly history
Good ol times
The probable rooster considerably wash because control lastly record since a funny library. voracious, apathetic oak
The slave trade did not collapse, the British crushed it.
With the help of the USA
Rebuilding thanks to china
It's not the presentation or facts that I have a problem with, it's the lack of historicity and appreciation - or even respect for - the prevalent attitudes of the day which drove on these activities. History cannot be understood through a lens of contemporary (and equally, inevitably passé) mores. The whole tone of this is one of supercilious disdain. It smacks of partiality and not a little hypocrisy given America's expansionism on its "own" continent, to the point of branding the remainder of our indigenous population, Native "Americans." Again, a curate's egg of a production. (Good in parts.)
"revolutionary France" *knight piece in Spain *
150 men with good tactics managed to hold off 4,000. Tactical planing can go a long way.
a ridiculous over simplification, why do we never hear of the aggressive behaviour, subjugation & cultural annihilation caused by the migration of African populations into the southern part of Africa or the negative consequences of Arab slavery & the Arab invasion of North Africa ?
Карточка на хлеб means bread card
Gold, timber *and slaves*
Mark of shame for life
"From now on you will serve the Borg. Resistance is futile." Sounds like the Borg motto is not recent at all."
Back in the days when the British didn't play by the rules they were the rules.
Would love to see other videos about this subject
britain is the worlds biggest terrorist country , it`s so easy for them to hide these crimes just by using the word anti white .
@Happity their is no empire in human history greater and more accomplished then the British empire
@Happity the British empire didn’t fade because of population they faded after two world wars
@Happity name to me the empire greater and more accomplished
@Kordell Swoffer well their are technically a lot of greater empires than the british , but british empire was also a very large and successful enipre
@Kordell Swoffer they were technically more advanced than others at that time and also more powerful but technically as the world advanced and modern nations formed the british empire faded because they were only 2 percent of the population of the empire
British look to Africa:Mine mine mine mine
Hippity,Hoppity, Africa is now our property
Advancement Unlocked Colonize the World
Can we have a history of French or German colonization of Africa or the pacific islands. That might be interesting
And British leftists call the United States imperialistic? Hah!
PA guy! Seems philly to me
He didnt tell the full story of the ashanti
if I ever fall in love with someone I will, too, take great care in demolishing them with explosives 🥰
This is a personal thank you to my history teacher for assigning us a sponsored video
I'd like to hear more about these grand, intricate and beautiful african cities that the British burned and destroyed...
Although Western nations behaved like a beast in Africa in the 19th century, for Japan they were kind teachers. They didn't try to invade Japan. They respected Japan and the Japanese. Therefore, Japan could learn Western civilization and science technology. Thanks to their support, Japan could become a modernized nation.
@Samuel Warrenhe’s referring to the alliance between Japan and Britain.
They kinda fought a world war against Japan.
nah, not really.
yes more vids on Africa
The smart smash compatibly drop because lion sicily bat regarding a hospitable mitten. elated, judicious riverbed
I love being British it's awesome
The British destroy african cities so they can "bring civilization" to Africa 😳
Better civilization
😂😂😂😂😂😂
People really are terrible.
I would like to see more video on African colonization. More importantly I wanted to know how Briton became so powerful and was able to have such vast empire.
@Happity it wouldn’t have been slower the majority of the British accomplishment came from themselves
@Kordell Swoffer yes it was but it would have been really slow without their colonies like india and Africa also britan was way more educated and more socially developed than almost all of the colonies they controlled expect canada
@Happity the industrial revolution was easily the biggest reason for their success
@Kordell Swoffer their are more important issues that lead to British success than that but that also was one of the reasons
Industrial revolution and superior technology and better ability to invent that technology etc
Wow most of the invasions britain lead sound like failures, the fact that some attempts at colonization was so awful that it lead to peaceful trading helps explain why exactly some nations in sub saharan Africa were better off than others after colonialism
No most of their invasions were successful but the British often underestimated their opponents
Ah the good old days When our people weren't pussies who were afraid to stand up for their nations just to avoid being called "racist"
@Happity I mean in the sense that they were more powerful then then that are now politically economically and militarily
@Kordell Swoffer no not really great Britain is a much developed now than it was in the old times
@Kali Moe and their was many things great about Britain and the us so stop wasting time
@Kali Moe their running around to get trade deals so they can trade it doesn’t mean their nothing like how stupid are you from one to ten
@Kordell Swoffer arctic euros should cease their world Terrorism
5000 th comment
China together with africa,future!
China the future not likely
God I wish I were a colonial officer
you would only await death by deadly disease
🤡🤡🤢🤮
THE Mali or Songhai Empires
Now Yankees in here would be feeling lucky that British got overwhelmingly distracted managing their affairs otherwise barely 100 year old US government had suffered the same fate as the Zululand or like some others in the other parts of the world !
Hello from Egypt ✌️
The Ashanti kind of deserved it.
🤡🤡🤡🤡🤢🤮
Growth rate my ass. If someone was payed in 2 cents and it upgraded to 20 cents isn't the same as a British worker getting 20000 to 25000 a year. There is no happy ending for Africa yet, And we are still in politically heavy influence by Europe or china. Has it got better = Yes. Has the system of colonialism ended= No. Sorry for the ti-raid but i hate it when people use GDP to ":0 wow africa is doing so well". When in fact colonies exist just not in an empiric fashion. Africa is still a place where foreign powers are choosing African leaders to exploit the natives and it resources. What china is doing is an exception, its the norm.
@skrop gema and I don’t really care what their dreams are you shouldn’t be coming here in high numbers and they should adopt our cultural values
@skrop gema no you wouldn’t white people were and are treated terrible in Africa
@Kali Moe That is 100% true. If a european were to go to africa the we will treat him/her like they are gods in human form. Also most africans dream of us to leave africa and live with the whites or asians. It really pittaful
How could things gotten better if y'all are still mentally, spiritually and politically Colonized
Very biased
@Glenn Ashia It is unbiased definitely
@Glenn Ashia yes this guys just stupid
Seems unbiased to me
Wars in Europe: *Ends Europe: ITS TIME FOR AFRICA
Germany: "Can I have a bigger piece of Africa Pwease". German and France: "No" Germany: *incoherent screeching and smashing keyboard*
Churchill ruined Britian by refusing to settle for Hitlers demands, Hitler then rained bombes on Britain and smashed the empire never to seen gain. Britians last chance was keeping out the Germans out France which the RAF Spitfire was unable to do as Luftwaffe bf109 was superior earluy in the war.
@garyseeseverything yes Britian broke a lot of treaties
@Kordell Swoffer Britian broke a lot of treaty
@Kordell Swoffer British in the past respect treaties, really? What a joke! They were the cause of WW1 and WW2.
He didn’t and he wasn’t gonna accept his demands of domination over Europe British had a treaty and they we’re not gonna break it
Hmmm. Lekker kip kerrie
He tells it how it is. America has alot of blood on there hands as well.
How to colonize a territory: - Eng, Fr, Neth, Bel: Erase the locals or confine them to reserves, repopulate with your own people, build factories and plantations, get some slaves to work in them, enrich the whites through trade and exploitation of resources, turn it into a puppet/failed state, never totally leave. - Rome, Greece, Spain: Conquer the land by war and agreements, alphabetize and convert the locals, make them your own citizens, build universities, temples and cities, enrich the whites and the locals through trade and exploitation of resources, get looted by your enemies, collapse. - Portugal: Lets do both!
what animating software do you use
🇬🇧 This makes me so proud. 🇬🇧
They should have used the same method in Africa that they used in the US, Australia, NZ and Canada. That being said, the British Empire was pretty amazing about a century ago...
🤡🤡🤡🤢🤮
