Erbsentarn, sumpftarn, und trichtern wurde später auch noch in abgewandelter Form von der NVA übernommen . Das sumpftarn wurde teilweise noch von der österreichischen Bundesheer aufgetragen. Selbst die Tschechen haben am Anfang noch Reste von sumpftarn und erbsentarn übernommen. Die Tarnuniform ist eine deutsche Erfindung. Habe nie verstanden warum Bundeswehr und Bundesheer damals diese hässlichen grünen Uniform übernommen haben. 0 Tradition

I have 21 years army behind me (4 Years German Ground forces BUNDESWEHR and 17 Years French Foreign Legion 3. REI and 2. REP from 1985 - 2002), but I am glad that my Generation was not involved in such a bloody wat like WW2. The Germans had good soldiers and not all of them has been Nazis. @Der Unterstleutnant Ich kenne ebenfalls solche Geschichten. Außerdem war die NVA mindestens so gut wie die Sowjetarmee ausgerüstet. Sie galt nicht umsonst in der UdSSR als Vorzeigearmee. Außerdem hatte sie noch traditionelle Uniformen und Bräuche, nicht so wie in der amerikanisierten Bundeswehr.
Deinem Namen kann ich dann ja wohl auch entnehmen dass du ein Befürworter der Sowjetunion bist. Und bis zu ihrer Auflösung hatte die NVA die gleiche Aufgabe wie die Bundeswehr, welche da währe "Den potentiellen Gegner im Osten bzw. Westen solange aufzuhalten bis eine vernünftige Armee eintrifft." Und die Bundeswehr heutzutage darf auch nur zu defensiven Zwecken im Ausland eingesetzt werden, das angreifen übernehmen meistens die Amis oder Franzosen. Die Bundeswehr übernimmt danach die Aufgabe in den "befriedeten" Gebieten für Sicherheit und Ordnung zu sorgen und Stützpunkte zu bewachen. Solche kriegerischen Aufgaben übernimmt die Bundeswehr auch erst seit 1990. Und erzähl mir nicht die NVA hätte nie die Bundeswehr provoziert ich kenne die Geschichten von meinem Vater beide Seiten haben provoziert und bei Seiten wussten wenn's knallt sind die mit die ersten die dran sind.

Die NVA war nicht zum Angriff sondern zur Verteidigung da und sie zog nicht wie die Bundeswehr in irgendwelche Länder und hat Krieg geführt z.B. Syrien. Außerdem kam es damals häufig zu von der Bundeswehr angezettelte Provokationen, das passierte meisten an der Staatsgrenze zwischen Ost und West oder auf dem Wasser.

All German uniforms during WWII (both civilian and military) were designed by Hugo Boss (what's with the idiots applying Soviet rules to other countries at the time and later, especially when those rules apply only to the Soviet Union from 1943 to 1968 when the Soviet Union started to follow the same rules as the rest of the world [the company the designer works for gets the credit]).
German uniforms and aircraft are like American uniforms and aircraft (the company that made it gets credit not the designer [if the designer works for a company that company gets credit]).

That's basically the reason why german uses a "c" to indicate a "sh" -> "sch", otherwise you have it hard to distinguish between "s-h"-sounds like in Gefechtshelm (or Gisbert Greshake who was a german author & always gets pronounced as if his last name was english) and ordinary "sh"-sounds like in Schlaf.
