  • I DON'T like Morgan James voice, YUUUUUUUUUUCK! I'd MUCH RATHER Listen to Mickey Thomas, his vocal range back in the day WAS freakishly AMAZING, And i ALWAYS thought he was SO darn CUUUUUUUUUUTE, teehee! 😘 But on the Serious side: Elvin Bishop is the Other guy (CAN'T remember if it's the bass player Or the guitar 🎸 player), it's his Band, this Song that was written was TOO HIGH (Note-wise) so because Mickey Thomas was Already a back-up Singer for Elvin Bishop Band, the Song was given to Mickey Thomas to Record AND IT Became a HIT! 🎵 🎹 That's when Jefferson Starship Band asked Mickey Thomas to join them, so Mickey left Elvin Bishop Band And started making more Hit Songs with Jefferson Starship Band. Her name is Grace Slick, the female Singer who was Already with Jefferson Starship Band (NOT the female in this video, wearing the rainbow outfit). Those two together have some GOOD HIT Songs (Mickey and Grace), such as "Jane", "Sara", "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now", "We Built This City", "Find Your Way Back", etc., etc.! ROCK ON Folks, ROCK ON! 🤘 🎵 🎹 🎵 🎸 😎

  • You need to buy a great big steak dinner for whoever recommended this to you, because they sent you to one of the best performances you'll ever see. Mickey Thomas' singing is effortless, simply effortless and that's the hallmark of 100% talent. BTW, this performance was from a TV show called "The Midnight Special". If you want to see some incredible performances, look for episodes of this TV show. Everyone performed 100% live and there are just some unbelievable performances. I'm glad you liked this one so much!

  • Mickey Thomas - Love 💜🎶 Jefferson Starship (formerly Jefferson Airplane). Now, Elvin Bishop you should check out too bc that is some fun blues. ✅. And, btw, he still has the juice today and so does Elvin Bishop. 🌼 Oh yeah, let me tell you how I got onto listening to this song today after all these years. I was watching a Netflix movie called, "Handsome." Handsome is the last name of this detective and one day about a little bit after halfway through the movie he has a woman in his house on the couch. They put on some music and I knew from the first chord and note that it was Elvin Bishop playing and Mickey Thomas singing, "I Fooled Around and Fell in Love" . It has made me happy all day. 🌷 That's some good blue-eyed soul for ya. ✌️

  • On this song, Elvin Bishop is the guitar player but not the singer. Elvin Bishop is more rhythm and blues than pop. Here is a link to a George Thorogood performance where Elvin Bishop plays the guitar with George Thorogood and the Destroyers: trvision.net/detail/video---AvCsh48bk.html

  • One of Rocks' greatest ever voices, Mickey Thomas' vocal range and power has been matched by exactly who else? Be very careful with any names you add to this conversation!!. Check out both Jane and Sara by Jefferson Starship with Mickey singing lead. You'll love both. Love watching your reactions when you hit on the real genuine gems I will never tire of!

  • Elvin Bishop gained renown as an original member of the Paul Butterfield Blues Band in 1964 and went on to star in his own touring band, rocking folks all over the US for 45 years to this day. He is recognized by guitarists as one of the greats and his powerful, tasty, and thoughtful rhythm and solo work here shows why. Check the diminished chord at 5:56. Mickey Thomas' stunning vocals, along with the great band, made this number an instant R&B classic. I saw him do this live at the Aquarius in North Seattle in 1976. You should have been there! Your reactions are great.
