I think Roman is playing it up and having fun, but he’s not wrong! Ford is throwing down the gauntlet so to speak. Plus some of us aren’t naive FCA fan boys and just happy to see a competitor.
EVERYTHING is calculated by Ford mgmt, and this certainly is! Bronco will have to beat Wrangler at some level of rock-crawling Ford mgmt will spend until they do, not out of love for offroading but to get their mitts on the piles of money Wrangler has been printing.
I agree, FORD was doing it on purpose, to show Jeep you now have compitition an not a monopoly. I don't like fiat Chrysler they build overpriced vehicles as in Jeep, an have pretty much controlled the off road market. I like the bronco, it's a good looking vehicle especially as a two door. But it reminds me of the early Scout instead of the early Bronco but that's my oppinion.
Bryan Roupe Most people know Ford is hot garbage especially with their forced induction Turbo engines that can not hold up.
Bryan Roupe I could provide actual proof that their more reliable...
@Speed Gate you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. Your just making you jealousy known to everyone.
i can’t even imagine the level of junk this Bronco will be
Yes on purpose
I guess Tommy is right. Let's see. Ford didn't put out any info on this, at all.
Dude it’s always a competition!!!!
LOL The reason the jeep is there is to pick up the pieces that fall or break off the fords and also a vehicle they know can make it.
Solid axles would’ve been nice on the Bronco
Testing AND marketing for sure.
old school new school old school is correct about competing against Jeep
Roman is right and actually Ford is right also. Rubicon being one of the famous American off road trails, taking on a an ex-American brand -namely Jeep which is owned by FIAT of Italy also famous with its extremely unreliable vehicles including Ferrari, makes more sense as proving grounds for the new Bronco.
This is America, Jeep doesnt own the Rubicon trail.
They should have done it in the Bronco sport. Oh it can't? Then don't call it a bronco. Stupid Ford. Hate trying to look up bronco info and the damn sport keeps popping up like anyone cares.
The new Ford Bronco.... BUCKING AWESOME!
Judging by the pictures at the ends of the video it looks like they ended up airing down. Now whether it was necessary to finish the trail or just to make it more comfortable we will never know.
Stop your whining, what Ford is doing is smart marketing.
Good Lord Roman, you talk a lot of crap. Good on Ford 👍
117 years in business and finally catching up to competition.
The Jeep was there as a rescue vehicle
I think Jeep cannot compete with this, there newer Jeeps are unreliable. But if we’re talking older Jeeps then it will give it a run for it’s money (but the Bronco will still win)
LOL, should make a Rubicon Bronco... LOL.
Im a big fan of jeeps and the bronco tbh any boxy 4x4 with good low end torque and a stick is good to me
But how many jeeps and tow trucks followed the Bronco on its trek? Because it’s a FORD, and reliability is a big, BIG question in everyone’s minds.
Broncos been released no reason to cover it up. It's called marketing. They are putting it all on the line. To bad they didn't give us the V8 everyone wanted. Going to cost them alot of sales
Ford Broncos have been doing the Rubicon since the late 60's. Way before it became the 4x4 spectacle it is now.
Roman you are correct. Ford is "in your face" to jeep on this.
Hay kid listen to the old man!
They say it made it through but I didn’t see s single video of it making it clean over any obstacle
Ford was definitely going after Jeep
Dont know why that kid is denying it, its all about competition for car makers. Common sense
Wow Dad is really crying crocodile tears for JEEP!!!!! I think jeep can handle a little competition. I thought reviewers were meant to be unbiased. How can you do a real comparison if the Rubicon is off limits to anyone but JEEP?????
Hell yeah Ford did this to stick it to jeep lol
Please let the older guy speak. He has much more credibility than the younger guy.
lmao this vid was posted on my 18th birthday and im just now seeing it
Why did they have a Jeep there? Recovery ? Eck usmc
Ya I’ll take the Bronco. Jeep’s are unreliable. The math is there.
I’m gunna try the rubicon trail in my stock 91 4Runner sr5 on 33 ko2s
Damn .. this was almost a fight
Looks like the broncos big problem is no torque
WHO CARES ABOUT GOING OVER ROCKS.? DOES IT HAVE POWER TO PULL A JEEP BACKWARDS?
Definitely both.
Hopefully Ford looks at these and makes their own aftermarket parts like Mopar with warranties
Roman has his own group of Ford haters
Well even more important, were they stock setups? BOOM
jeep cant hang with the bronco never could dont be but hurt
I truly agree that Ford is showing that the Bronco is a huge threat...
Ford pushing fca w the bronco, fca pushing ford w the trx.. as everyone's said, competition like this can only be good for the consumer
Ford. Found On Rubicon Dead.. tee hee😂
Daddy's right. It was a marketing stunt.
to the son... you're an idiot if you actually think this wasn't charged with bronco marketing.. Your dad is absolutely right. you wasted 2-3 min arguing nonsense.
I'm a Ford man to the bone. My wife and I both daily drive Ford Performance products, our tow rig and our weekend car are all Fords. I'm shopping for a '16+ Rubicon right now. So the question for me is should I get a brand new lower end Bronco or a used Rubi for the same price. Tough call but I can't really see myself regretting the Rubicon. Can't wait for TFL to start getting their hands on some Broncos.
Yeah, FORD challenged the Jeep “Trail” in a stealthy, very UNprovacative way...WITHOUT advertisement, in the normal sense of an ‘official ad. YOU GUYS ARE providing the advertising.
Just because the jeep rubicon is named after the Rubicon Trail, doesn't mean the Rubicon Trail belongs to jeep. Why does everything have to be a fight these days? Why does it have to be us and them attitude? Back in the day, more people off reading just meant more fun all around, no matter what they were driving.
IFS sucks ass
Ford all the way for me!🇺🇸❤💪🤘
Deliberate...
Hello from the future. Turns out Bronco nation has the footage out everywhere as a essentially a commercial (hype builder stuff)
so what’s the big deal. you want a ford, buy a bronco..you want a jeep, buy a wrangler.
I predict mustang vs camaro shootouts being overrun by Wrangler vs Bronco next few years. Can only be good for Wrangler fans too
Talk about bringing a knife to a gun.. no I mean Ford to a Jeep fight.
So the original Bronco almost bankrupted Ford due to the volume of court cases for the truck which had such a high centre of gravity it rolled over. Now Ford brings out a replacement this time with a roll cage, but did Ford learn their lessons? Looks like NO they did not. They still offer large 24-28 wheel options which increase the C of G making them roll over potenial victims.........why ? History does not have to repeat itself? ...or does it ?
so what ? lol no it’s cool but i live in NYC yah we have some pot holes here but it’s way to much truck for me !
I love Ford Motor Company i believe Ford came out to show there new very strong Bronco, wow how beautiful keep it up Ford.
Bronco vs wrangler....only one will definitely lose hands down....land rover defender....
Yeah, Lots of IFS vehicles can do the Rubicon. Ford is not doing anything spectacular here. trvision.net/detail/video-xp4H0nXsi14.html
The Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk has also done the Rubicon. It's a tough trail, but mall-crawlers like the Cherokee and the Bronco CAN do it if they have big tires and a good driver. That said, as a former Trailhawk owner, the only stock vehicle that makes it feel easy to do tough trails is the Rubicon. Dual lockers and detaching sway bars make the JL Ruby (especially the 2dr) like no other vehicle.
Listen to your father, his always right!
Its a wannabe jeep they the new bronco has ifs and straight axle is far superior
Please see this channel on how off-road comparisons are done - very technical ,trvision.net/detail/video-9X6yMDHVmqA.html
We wouldn't have the Bronco if it wasnt for the Jeep Rubicon We wouldn't have the V8 Rubicon if it wasnt for the Bronco We wouldn't have the new Blazer if it wasnt for a poor marketing decision. We wouldn't have TFL if it wasn't for sponsored media
Totally an on purpose move by Ford. I still believe the bronco is a totally different 4x4 than the wrangler. The wrangler is a climber and rock crawler. The bronco is more of a desert runner
