Jesus is king! Repent of your sins and admit that he died on the cross for your sins ((:
Never mentioned what happened to Ludendorff
i’m so glad this man almost has a million subscribers
What was the russian rifle?
On the Hills of Manchuria, Instant Like!
I didn’t read the title and I thought he said the battle of cherbourg and I almost spit out my drink looooool
Viking helmets did not have horns on them.
Nice suit
francois was smart
there is a formal look
My grandpa was Hindenburg
Sure......Sure he was.
@ანდრეი ველასჰო are u questioning my statement herr I don't know how to spell
No
1:25 playing the same theme music of the game Victoria 2... Ooooh yeah!
If the russians would have started throwing empty votka bottles they would have easily outgunned every army of the world^^
1:36 Damn it Hans, where's your pickelhaube? I sold it for this dope ass viking helmet It sure looks dope lmao
cool intro
Tannenb
Great video, but one correction, ergmont overture is by beethoven, not kevin macleod

1:35 smooth transition lol
I really enjoy your videos, have watched tens of them (probably most of them. Really informative. But how could you not get at least one name of person or city right. If I didn't know about all of these events from former studies, I would not be able to make the connection between the characters and the places.
Russia before WW1: Stronk Russia in WW1: weak Russia after WW1: Stronk agaen
So cutting it short, Quality over quantity.
1. This battle should be called „of Allenstein”, not „of Tannenberg” 2. Germans defeated russians which helped Poland to Get independence 3. Russians lost only because of the animosity between Samsonov nad Rennenkampf. 4. By resiting army to the east Germans directly lost the siege of Paris and the whole war, because they resite too much soldiers that didn’t even appear in Prussia in time. So No, it wasn’t any revange for 1410 XD, it was just Pyrrhic victory with Russia.
German winning over Russians: At last! We avenged our defeat from 500 years ago! Poles, who were the ones who really defeated Teotonic Order that day: ...What?
Lithuanians who were essential in the victory: bruh
Neat.
You should named it, "When German win in Eastern Front"
the russians r better
5:55 Why is “On the hills of Manchuria” playing for German troops? It’s a bit out of context.
Germany always gets its revenge
The Russian tsar and British king at that time look like twins i know they cousins but got damn
I used to know a man who was in this battle. He was a Russian Jew and he was part of this fight. The Germans had better equipment and training and better weapons. The German artilliary had twice the range of the Russian artillery and the Germans were better trained than the Russians. The Russians were armed with Nagant rifle which was turned into the Germans after losing the batle. This gave the Germans much needed rifles. These Nagans ended up in Ireland in a German attempt to help the Irish fight the English.
Another chapter in the European blood feuds that Washington warned us to stay out of. The war to end all wars is a personal favorite of mine it's a level of absurdity that Monty Python could only aspire.
Viking helmets didn’t have horns :/
Thnx this really helped me in my research for a ww1 presentation I'm doing for school
Germans pretend to be very brave soldiers but it is a fact that they have always been defeated in the wars of 20 th century and finished as a occupied and divided country. It was German empire and later German Reich that were totally defeated and they are no more. So what is the point of such videos about "annihilation" by this insolent glasses man?
@The Krimson Chin Annihilation? And Koenigsberg is Kailiningrad now? Ths is russsian decisive victory after "annihilation". Ok dude, who is being triggered.
It was simply an Annihilation. Sorry dude, being triggered ain't gonna get you nowhere.
Certainly an argument can be made that the Russian army recovered by early 1916.
Russian commanders and under-officers had more recent actual combat experience during the Russo-Japanese war of 1905. As a matter of fact, the two Russian commanders had exchanged bitter words with each other during the Japanese conflict. Last substantial German combat was 1870-1871 against France, Lots of errors in this video,
Russia's terrain is vast but is not particularly rugged.
Konigsberg was spelt with an e not u (was; its Kaliningrad now). It means 'king's mountain' not 'king's fortress'.
Watching cause I play Tannenberg , rather play as the germans anyway cause I have german in me. Guns are better as well except the lever action on the Russian side.
Interesting
Maybe I'm racist but all the Germans look the same to me.
Surprised being a historian you actually think Viking helmets had horns on them.
o tannenberg o tannenberg
Was looking in the thumbnail and thought Germany won the WWE 😂 since when did it became a country to country bout 💪😂 anyway cheers you guys
When russia was Annihilated at Tannenberg Germany: Heh inferior to our proud Ger... Russia : *Attack of the dead mean, literally troops storming out of gas fog, machinegunning and wrecking all german forces* Russia: *I didn't hear ya!!*
I see you have a Cold Steel replica of a Dutch model 1911 Marechaussee Sabel standing in the back ground. I know, they market it as a replica US model 1917 Navy Cutlass, but they err in their ways. It's an interesting weapon. It was the result of the Dutch East Indies Colonial Army radically changing it's fighting tactics in the late 19th, early 20th century Aceh Wars. Small mobile units, relying heavily on surprise attacks and close combat fighting with sabres proved highly succesful in a brutal guerilla style warfare against bands of local muslim insurgents/freedom fighters, depending on your perspective. US forces in the Philippines were likewise in combat with the Moro and were quick to appreciate the weapon, so it was copied with a few detail changes - most notably a closed hilt instead of the M1911 open hilt, chequered grip vv. smooth grip - and adopted as the 1917 Navy Cutlass.
Thanks for mentioning Hoffmann!
Everybody gangsta till Germany's fighting on two fronts
Germany vs history is a bit funny, While France has the reputation for losing, it’s always been the Germans that lose!
Doesn’t do justice to Aleksandr Samsonov. He was with his army till the end, trying to navigate the few men he could rally out of the trap. After running into several german machine gun posts acting as cut-offs for fleeing russians, he finally gave in to despair and shot himself in the head, “the Czar trusted me. How can I face him after such a disaster?”. Sad end to a loyal servant of Russia.
We don’t have food but we have VODKA
Im making a game where the Battle of Tennenberg is included, this really helped me get some knowledge of it
LOL revenge to who ? what connection did have the mongol ulus Muscovy to our 1410 victory ?
10:33 i swear, right after the gunshot there was a huge bang from my room from a balloon that my brother was holding
"Hindenburg became president of the Weimar Republic"??? How is this possible? How can a person be president of a period of time? Hindenburg was president of the German Empire (or Germany if you like this better).
Here's a pro gamer move 2:30 (Skip sponsorship)
it was 106 years ago
How may times have you been to war? Russia: *yes*
I like his acting when the viking helmet comes up. 1:34
?
2:30. you're welcome
I think it's unfair to Erich von falkenhayn to say that ludendorff and Hindenburg were calling all of the shots
One more example of quality over quantity
they forgot to post this to the hoi4 subreddit tbh
WW1 breaks out! Tsar Nicholas II: I'm gonna defeat everyone i have the largest land army what is that kaiser gonna do now? Kaiser Wilhelm II: I'm gonna kick your ass at Tannenberg Tsar Nicholas II: OwieowieOwieowieOwieowieOwieowie but u got the place wrong Kaiser Wilhelm II: but you are internationally humiliated
2:48 eerily simmalar to what ww2 Germany had to deal with in reverse
It's always a happy day when the beast from the east is defeated :D
For some reason most people In the general public have no idea that Russia was defeated in ww1, parroting things like “it’s impossible to invade Russia and win”
