Where Napoleon failed I shall succeed Didn't hit Moscow Napoleon-1 Hitler-1 RUSSIAN WINTER-2
the french are called cowards for surrendering but the british are praised for running away
Lance Armstrong won the Tour de France multiple times! He was a hero who won all by himself until they realized he had help. Lance cheated took steroids and his medals were taken from him. Britain didn’t win alone, they cheated and also used American high grade petrol they had help and therefore the lost the Battle of Britain! Any men around?
You could hear the bombing of Glasgow from 50 miles away!
this video was actually a stunning masterpice that explained years of history with a clear visual image and explanation to so much. the voice over was like a perfectly crafted prompt response and this helped me enormously for my school project, thank you!
My grandfather fought as a rear gunner during the battle of Britain. He was stationed at RAF Hornchurch and after the war a road was named in his honour - Robinson Close. He never spoke about his experiences but I think he was one of the bravest men who ever lived. Thank you Grandpa.
Only Polish can defeat England and make Moscow ! 1601-1603
@Łukasz Pis If you're going to blame anyone, blame France. The UK couldn't push into Germany without the much larger French Army.
Also Fack England and France- Alliance FAKE
Kneel to Polish brave soldiers stops Gery in 1939.
How was the Battle of Britain won??? Let’s see... American ammunition, American oil and gas...American food...etc...etc...etc
British planes, British commanders, British, French, Czech, Polish, Australian etc pilots...
This is not entitely true. The germans started to hurt the RAF significantly in southern england when bombing airfields and radars. RAF losses where so severe they would eventually have to move their squadrons further north. After bombing Berlin though the germans switched tactics to bomb UK cities instead. This gave RAF the breathing space it needed to repair their airfields and continue fighter production.
Well Done. Good for you to reveal the Truth. Hitler wanted Britain to join him. When they refused, Hitler lost WW2. Germany had very little chance in the BoB. The RAF had constructed the greatest combat system of radar and communications in History. They were already out producing fighters. The doomed Luftwaffe, much like the U-Boat fleet, set sail into a brick wall, facing inevitable destruction and defeat.
You didnt mentioned the bravery of the Polish pilots and that Englan won that battle because of them.
( USA watching the Battle of Britain ) USA : Lets Go Mate !
We fought on the wrong side.
To save your time, the answer is "with radar"
The cold decision orly obey because segment alarmingly reproduce concerning a shaggy fine. berserk, selfish priest
If Germany could take Britain out the fight and concentrate all of its forces on Russia it could have won, guess who would be next?
The Germans would never have been able to take Britain and even if they did that wouldn't change the outcome of the eastern front.
Em hello? The battle of britian was lost ... FAKE NEWS
“Help us we the British are getting wiped out by the Luftwaffe. America saved us quick say the Spitfire(which is a stolen design of the me109) saved us because of the superior(stolen)engineering. Leave out the fact that me109 fuel range was limited and we had 150 octane fuels while Germany had weak fuels yet better planes. Let’s not forget how we reverse engineering German tech calling it radar.”
“Where Napoleon failed, I shall succeed. I shall land on the shores of Britain.” Churchill be like “Come again.”
Haha that’s quite funny
Germany didn’t have the range still Germany won the air war that’s why Britain went begging the world for help. Spitfire is a stolen bf109 design using high grade American fuels your not told the truth, your not suppose to know
@garyseeseverything can you give proof
The bf109 v1 flew before the Howard Hughes H1 and did it faster! The British had nothing
@garyseeseverything It's not the truth though? The Luftwaffe couldn't win the Battle of Dunkirk by itself. It can't hold ground, it can't take buildings, it can't even deal with stationary Destroyers. So go on, please, tell me EXACTLY how the Luftwaffe could have won Dunkirk by itself WITHOUT ground forces helping it.
@Your Average Scotsman you cannot handle the truth. The truth takes courage nowadays you don’t have that.
@garyseeseverything The Spitfire and Hurricane were not stolen German designs. I've looked it up and have seen absolutely nothing to support your claim, so stop lying. If they WERE stolen designs, why didn't the Germans use them? Why are there no records of it? The Luftwaffe could not smash Dunkirk, at all. An Airforce CANNOT win a fight by itself. If the Luftwaffe COULD smash the BEF, then the Germans wouldn't have any need to push into Dunkirk after a few days. Oh wait! They did! Because the Luftwaffe was failing miserably and Hitler and his Generals noticed, so they ordered the German Units around Dunkirk, that had been reinforced with their Artillery and Infantry units, to advance into Dunkirk and crush the pocket, which they also failed to do. Honestly, where are you getting your information from? Because nothing I've seen comes close to supporting your arguement.
Churchill disgusting.
@Your Average Scotsman He killed millions of innocent people, Indians and Germans and in the 50s put 150 000 Kenyans in concentrationcamps.
How so?
why are all the plane numbers backwards?
"Let us therefore brace ourselves to our duties, and so bear ourselves, that if the British Empire and its Commonwealth last for a thousand years, men will still say, """
Jesus they have the biggest balls during ww2
You're probably not gonna see this but please consider putting the ads at the end if the vid
i was watching this while i played war thunder
No mention of the countless Polish Pilots fighting in the Battle of Britain.
135 Poles. Not countless, but a decent sized force to assist, yes.
Note, you seem to be making a similar mistake to the film. Or at least not covering the reason properly for the Blitz. Germany was convinced the RAF were down to "their last fifty Spitfires." The attack on London was to bring these up into the fight where they would be destroyed. Since obviously if you attack London they will have to go all out to defend it. So the plan was a massive attack on London with the Luftwaffe, a massive defence by the RAF and after this battle of attrition, the Luftwaffe have more aircraft left and Sealion can start. Or at least this was how the plan was sold to Hitler. Bombing airfields didn't seem to be getting anywhere. The RAF were still coming up to fight and "the last fifty Spitfires" were becoming a running joke. Luftwaffe pilots were saying to each other, "here come the last fifty Spitfires again." The bombing of London was about attrition of aircraft, pre war German theory was to destroy aircraft in the air and on the ground, strategic bombing was way down on the list, hence Germany's lack of long range heavy bombers.
It truly was there finest hour
Where napoleon survived , i shall succeed The british with tea : *yeets hot tea on his face*
there is no military more powerful than the British weather
I had a great grandfather who fought in both World Wars, it would be considered racist now but at the time of WW2 he said "he better not be sent off to fight the little yellow bastards" and off to the fight the Japanase he was sent.
"and Poland especially" and there is france flag on tail... are you a british or what?
@WaterJames mae culpa :)
No, I think it kinda represents the RAF logo since the logo's theme is looking the same, so I wouldn't consider it as a French aircraft. Now I get that this might be a little confusing but it happened to me to, until I started playing War Thunder. I always thought that the hurricanes and spitfires were both French, but turns out I'm wrong
The Germans were never realistically going to be able to invade us anyway even if they did get air supremacy and hitler knew this and that is why he offers peace
They didn't need to invade. If they got air superiority and bombed british harbours the british would literally starve to surrender. The U-boats already destroyed a huge quantity of british supplies, if they lost their ports and skies it would be all over
Thanks for the video nicely presented for all to understand!!😎🐓🐓🇬🇧
When the battle of France was over : The reichsmith :😎 The kreigsmarine : 😒 The luffewaffe : 😭
The most important lesson from all conflicts is to know we are now all brothers.
Somewhere out there back in 1941 a german pilot said "Spitfire op"
Watch, the greatest story never told.
The british bombed 8 german cities 9 months before the bombing of london.
@Logan Plank Why is it 'not true' that 9 months before August 1940 is November 1939? Is the calendar different on the planet you obviously inhabit?
@Logan Plank really? Which cities and which occasions
@TheVilla Aston yes, because factories are in cities.
@Logan Plank Nope. They were tasked with attacking industrial targets. Shall I note them for you?
@Logan Plank Did the RAF bomb 8 German cities 9 months before he Luftwaffe bombed London? Just yes or no will do.
whear is my huricane
where napoleon failed i shall succeed
hey , can i please ask you what software do you use thank you
3:50 Top 10 famous last words
Tomorrow will be the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Britain Day - 15th September - the day which many RAF and exiled pilots, freshly from 7 days rest due to Germans switching bombings from their airfield to bombing London ambushed them and nearly wiped them out from the London sky.
Oversimplified anyone 8:20
The brits where never in any real danger of losing that battle, it should have never been fought over the mainland.
There was no alternative. Apart from a brief appearance during Kanalkampf, the RAF stopped their fighters from going over the Channel.
Can I just say imagine living through the blitz constantly worried about a Bomb busting through your roof
We will never surrender what ever the cost my be
A bomb dropped by the Germans Kansas in my grandads house. It landed four feet from him but luckily it didn’t explode
It must also be said that Hitler's decision to start bombing cities (especially London) spared the British airfields (the original targets of German attacks)fron further destruction.
Why the Germans never bomb the palace?
Probably wanted to retain historical structures to keep them later
My nan and grand were in the outskirts of London when the blitz happend and the Luftwaffes would drop the bombs they didn't use on London around where they lived so the would go out as kids and look for the biggest piece of sharpnel as a competition RIP Paul Towers 1930-2020
Back when European rivalry was a thing. Now its just a peace continent
The Blitz could be even worse if the Nazis already developed long-range bombers like B-29 Superfortress. The UK cities would have the same fate as Japanese cities
I am an Indian. I believe churchil did great against the nazis but he was a ruthless colonialist. Shame on British .
For one hell of a hard fight, and the most devastating destruction to British cities ever, its both Ironic and fitting that the finest hour of Britain was to stand back up after fatal blows. The peak of British resilience and witt. One of which we can only hope shows face once again.
Straight spitting spire.
"I shall land on the shores of Britian" Britian: *Pulls out UNO reverse card*
*How did British win* *Me well it’s a Country separated from continental Europe, Radar , German lack of air superiority. Germany’s week navy (Lack of superiority of the seas 🌊*
Is there is a second part of this video?
Also: While the Messerschmidt was made of metal, could fly higher and faster, and dive into RAF squadrons taking them by surprise, it was also somewhat unwieldy with all that inertial mass and had to take wide turns. On the other side the Spitfire was much lighter, built mainly of wood and canvas, so she could maneuver in dogfights like no WWII plane before it. In a defensive stance, the Spitfire had the advantage. Add to that the radar and Luftwaffe's limited time over enemy territory due to fuel concerns, and the odds were tilted towards Britain's favor, even as Germany had superior numbers.
15th September is the day that the Battle of Britain is remembered, as this was the day that the Luftwaffe launched their main attack. The Germans also changed their tactics. At the start they attacked the airfields, then Goering decided to attack the cities. We were there for the taking. There was to be other attacks on London, carried out with the V1 (doodle bugs) and the V2 rockets. So the blitz lasted a lot longer.
The statistics do not support the claim that 'we wre there for the taking'.
Proud to be British
@seriously dok Yea, Britain also killed six million jews - didn't they?
They were same as the Nazis. Don't think em any better
Supermarine Pilot: gets shot down by an Me109 and is almost killed but parachutes out. Also Supermarine pilot after getting a cigarette immediately after the crash: Thanks awfully dear chap.
does this guy have unlimited knowledge?hes super smart dude
Yo that background sound while you playing world conqueror
Hitler: "Where Napoleon failed, I shall succeed." Stalin: **laughter** *you dumb bitch*
Military History Visualized did a great video series on Battle of Britain and basically states that the germans didn't have anywhere near enough logistics and equipment to run a full scale amphibious invasion and the germans underestimated the British airforce and production while the British overestimated the german forces which plays more into Britain's advantage. unless Hitler was able to force Britain to concede, there was literally no way Germany would have been able to properly invade the UK.
Big up big up
