  • Around 1998, when I was about 10 years old, I went to a friend's house. Their house gate was open. Very strange in Iran. The lock was broken. I told him: Why don't you change the lock? He said: My mother says your father doesn't have the key. He might come home and if we're not home, he leaves and might not come back. His father was lost in the war, 10 years before that. His mother went crazy. The look on her eyes, staring at the door most of the times. still haunts me to this day.

  • My late dad was injured in this fucking war in a very funny way (was thrown out of the back of a moving van, because of the wind, and broke his wrist). My maternal uncle was killed when he was 18 (drafted when he was only 16. Supposedly, he was a TANK DRIVER!), his brother was severely injured and was a POW for two years. Their would-be brother-in-law (met my aunt via my father, who befriended him during the war, also my parents met each-other because my dad and my maternal uncle were comrades in the war) was a POW for 8 years. My paternal uncle was a POW for 4 years and suffered PTSD for decades to come. I think Saddam had a thing against my family.

  • Also America supported Iraq, but Iran as well. To America it was a win win situation where they hoped both countries would just destroy each other for their own benefit. And they used the money from Iran for weapons to fund another War. A scandal occurring during the Reagan administration in which members of the executive branch sold weapons to Iran and illegally used the profits to continue funding an army of rebels in Nicaragua. American Heritage® Dictionary of the English Language, Fifth Edition.

  • My dad lost a brother and like 5 cousins in this war, my grandfather was a truck driver supplying the front line and taking back wounded/bodies. The people killed in this war still haunt Iran, with a generation of traumatized people, going on to sire another generation that got traumatized from having traumatized parents. We will ALWAYS hate Saddam for this. Looking forward to seeing him in hell one day.

  • The War on Terror and The Iraq War were only manufactured in order to get Rothschild World Central Banking in said Countries via The Federal Reserve. Now...only Iran, Syria and Cuba remain without Central Banks. Can you all guess what the next Wars will be against? North Korea was amongst that list until Kim went and frolicked with South Korea's Leader. They now got Central Banks within said nations thanks to The Donald....without a single bullet even being fired. Once Central Banks take over the remainder there will be a World Currency then a push to Unite all Nations around The Globe into a Single World Government in which The True Horror Show will begin!

  • khomeine came to power 1979 .. the war started 1980 !! He was planing to swallow Iraq according to his filthy extremist ideology titled by : " exporting the revolution ", his dream is to export his fake dark revolution to the Arab world .. and make them his servants , but Saddam waked him up that this dream will stay dream . Khomeine regime propaganda was successful to convince irainians till this day that iraq started the war , they were were carful that the iranians wont be able to know anything out of their governmental narrations during the war and after it , they were hiding the fact that Iraq has sent many complain letters to "Iran and to UN " before the war about iranian bombardments on many iraqi villages near the border , people don't know that their government ignored that and continued it's acts along the border to destabilise Iraq , also they don't know that Khumani has canceled Algeria Treaty " from one side " that was signed in 1975 between Saddam and Shah Reza .. that guaranteed both Sides rights . Indeed Khomeine was afraid from iranian Shah army , he destroyed it by kicking out thousands of well experienced generals, colonels , officers ,etc .. it was not enough for him so he wanted to make that huge army to be busy in an endless war , he knew that if he didn't , the leaders of the army would make a coup against his hatful regime .

    • 😂 does sound like it. But it’s actually a major theme of faith in Islam directly from the Quran itself. That’s highly significant because the Quran is believed to be the literal Word of God (as opposed to the Bible being the inspired Word of God). Interestingly, the concept of trusting in God as presented in Islam is rooted in rationality/common sense, where you do your part and have faith in God. This opposes the generally ridiculed idea of having blind faith in God. And rely upon the Ever-Living who does not die, and exalt [ Allah ] with His praise. And sufficient is He to be, with the sins of His servants, Acquainted (25:58) [He is] the Lord of the East and the West; there is no deity except Him, so take Him as Disposer of [your] affairs (73:9) And will provide for him from where he does not expect. And whoever places his trust in Allah (God), then Sufficient is He for him; for Allah will surely accomplish His Purpose: For verily, Allah has appointed for all things a due proportion. (Quran, 65:3)
