It Was My Wife's Fault... I promise

So we got a call to rescue a Infiniti QX60 in Sand Hollow, and we had a difficult time trying to pull it out without damaging the car more.

  • 50% of why I watch these videos is for Ed! If I lived down your way, I think I'd get myself stuck, just to get some time to meet you all! In fact, if I am ever on vacation in the area, I'm going to rent a prius, so that i can get it stuck in the sand and have y'all tow me out!

  • 9:12 the term is "jury rigged" which is an old nautical term, predating World War II and the jerrys by centuries.

  • Here in california we call gravel roads "rocked" roads. Opposed to a dirt road, not treated with any imported rock or any other base.

  • I don’t know any jurisdiction that would use gravel for a road bed. Everyone I have seen used crushed stone, not gravel. There is a difference.

  • Not sure how I found these videos but I love them. I live in Utah and been to most of the places you go. I've pulled people out of Sand Hollow more than a few times. I may have even been pulled out a few times lol. I especially like how you don't make fun of the people that get stuck. It happens to the best of us.

I will still continue to watch as I really enjoy the scenery and personalitys of the crew plus the awesome work you do. I'm just saying that's all.

  • I always see you driving in sand. I was wondering if you couldn’t make up a set of sand chains. Basically take a small length of angle iron, the length of the tire tread. And then weld the piece of angle iron onto a set of snow chains. This way it’s easy on and easy off. And you’ve basically got small sand paddles for your tires. May not work on the fronts, cause you’d need a lot of clearance. But they should fit on the back tires.

  • Matt, question here: Do you ask every customer if they are willing to be on TRvision when you arrive to a site? If so, do you get a lot of people who say no in which case your camera team puts away their cameras and sit it out? Or do you ask them before you leave your office so you know to bring cameras with?

    Evan LEvan LAylar önce
  • Wondering why you don't leave the hubs locked on the banana always? Also, would love to get your analysis/reviews of the different tires that you have experience with. Seems like you are in a rare position to give an objective perspective. Thanks for all the great content!

  • I'm actually dumbfounded that people call to have their shit recovered. I live in Florida and when we break down or get stuck we call some friends and git it done. I've even drove my work truck through hood deep water, headlights under water at night , can't see where I'm going, to winch my broke jeep on the trailer. Can't tell how many times come on a stuck truck and it became a all night party gittin it out. Still, great videos, good work.
