China was suffering a huge civil war when Japan invaded. Besides, Japan had a much better economy and technologic advantage in terms of China

Although Japan tried to teach their custom and spread their own tradition into Korea, Koreans did not follow them mentally. So you can see Korea has own cultures and it has nothing to do with Japan's.
