    • @TheSchultinator I won't get on you for how you just single-handedly accused the trans community of being mindless sheep with no capacity for critical thought. Believe me, others will. Now, as for me using that argument, here's the kicker: you have seen my evidence. Anyone scrolling through the comment thread has. You willfully chose to ignore it and say "but that's not REAL evidence," like a child calling someone beating him in a video game a cheater. Educating yourself in this context means "scroll up." It's fun to use a bullshit debate tactic in my favor, I must admit. Now, come back when you've finished reading. I won't hold my breath.

    • @MF DOOMGUY No, it's your job to defend your claims. Whenever *any*one says they have no responsibility or duty or whatever to "educate" someone, it means they don't have an actual reason for believing whatever they claim. So people are well-justified in calling them on their bullcrap. So, have any evidence yet?

    • @Lordi It was that kind of morning. A morning where the troubles of yesterday and the day before that and all the days before it were thwarted by the bright, fresh atmosphere of a new day. Muted sunlight filtered through the high window located just above the table, where two individuals -- a woman and a mid-adolescent boy -- sat. The light easily glanced off the articles of the room, and if one were to turn their gaze towards the woman's slack figure, they would notice in an instant how the rays reflected softly on her, most apparent now in the shining pearls of her eyes. The woman's lips were curved just so, and though she was past that age where young men would flock simply to win such an expression from her, she shone a sort of admirable youth. She sighed, and it sounded like a gentle breeze. This morning was itself similar to a little miracle, like the flare of a camera flash, she thought to herself. And there, in front of her, was her son, the light of her life. The boy chewed noisily on his breakfast, disrupting the peace that the earliness brought, as his mother watched. He tore into his meal, and the fat and oils dripped from his mouth and stained the surface of the table. So engrossed was he in his food that he jumped when his mother idly toyed with her spoon and caused her neatly finished plate to ring. He stared at her in astonished disbelief. "Mom!" he shouted. "What just happened there?! You trying to throw me off my groove thang?! It's eight in the morning, my sinuses are loaded with the viral equivalent of the United States Marine Corps, and I don't have enough milk for my raisin bran! Do I have to give you shit?!" An expression of shock flashed across the woman's features. "Dylan, what are-? Please calm down..." "Dodging, are we? Aha, I can see through you like I work at Lenscrafters who also polishes the windows on a company skyscraper in a New York boulevard! Not that you can ever see one 'cause you're so poor! Why are you staring at me with your mouth open like that? Yeah, 'cause I'm toooootally the one being crazy right now. Tooooooooooootally." The boy Dylan rolled his eyes affectedly many times than what was appropriate. Swallowing, the woman shook her head and spoke, "What are you saying? Why are you angry? Is that attitude necessary right now?" The youth's face scrunched into itself, and suddenly the soft sunlight felt like fire upon the woman's skin. It crept up and into her skin, and she recoiled suddenly as if burned. "Pretentious, holier-than-thou, I-don't-know-anything act now, is it? Is Clinton my grandfather? But I guess I can't really say that because if it were true those bad politics could lead us down a slippery slope shaped like a mollusk. Ha ha ha! Why aren't you laughing? That joke never gets old so eat shit!" Dylan hollered disdainfully. "You're gonna parrot some bullshit like you're an armchair psychologist now, ain'tcha? Armchair psychologists only stay on their armchairs 'cause they're so old, y'know! So which is it?! Parrot or psychologist? Or maybe you're a transgender parrot and/or psychologist which makes you disgusting!" It was the sneer. That damned sneer. It blanketed her vision and darkened the room, and so she closed her eyes to it. She stomped her foot, and, shaking her head, she steeled her voice. "Dylan, I will not have this today. I don't know what's gotten into you recently, but you have been like this for far too long and I am sick and tired of it. Go to your room. Now. We will talk about your aggressive behavior when your father is home. I want some peace and quiet right now." She sighed again and this time it sounded like a stiff gust of wind. Her hung head was turned away from the window and her eyes shone only with weariness. She looked every much her age in this moment. "You're like every mother in the world, trying to push your feminist ideals down my throat! Aggressive? See, I knew it! It's 'cause of my muh-soggy-knee right? Holy shit, how did I not see this before?! Also, what's this about going to my room? You gonna pin me down on my bed and have your way with me?! You shotacon! And get your mouth off Dad's dick like some puny little barnacle that no likes looking at because it's so damn ugly and probably smells like fish that I'd throw into a vat of frying oil in a heartbeat, which I won't have if I eat too much fried food! I mean, I've tried sucking dicks before and I can tell you it ain't fun! Like how Steve Jobs isn't having any fun now! Ha ha ha ha HA HA! Are you Steve Jobs? Naw, can't be, 'cause no one likes you and you don't have cancer, because you ARE cancer! Woop! "But whatever! I'm goin' to my room now, but just so you know I'm doing it ironically. Toooooooooooooooooootally. I'm being ironic, see! Just like this -" Dylan straightened both his palms, thrust out his hips, and struck his pelvis on either side of his genitals with the edge of his hands "-- is ironic! HA! Are my words killing you?! Now if you'll excuse me, I'll be lounging in my room like your so-called definition of "faggot" where the magic happens if you know what I mean but ew gross if you do that means you really DO think of me like that which means you ARE a pedo and like a reverse Oedipus Complexer but anyway that's where I'll be reading up on Fate/Stay Night which has way more world building, power levels, and damn good action scenes than this place while getting high even though I really shouldn't be doing that while playing games and jacking it..." The youth stormed off, taking his aimless ramblings with him. Gone was the brightness of the day, but at last it was quiet again. All the mother could do was sit down and cry.

As for your repeating yourself, you said something interesting just now: "You never...pointed me to a specific comment" What's that phrase you leftists always use, when you're asked to explain your beliefs in your own words? Oh right, it went something like: *It's not my job to educate you. Educate yourself.* Hoist by your own petard, it seems.

  • I don't think The Lion King copied Kimba _enough._ There should have been a scene where Simba uses Mufasa's dead body as a parade for the animals on Pride rock to rally morale, then the film would have been perfect

    • @Friendly Pup Sure Disney will not let any source exist anymore since they declare Lion king is their " original" here is my theory that Lion king actually was a "homage" project to Kimba . 1)Early Lion king art work show the white lion cub www.tipsfromthedisneydiva.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/concept-art-lion-king.jpg Disney defender said his fur was white because light. Look at the light on the ground .Imagine the real forest in the sun light. the light was show on the ground in many areas where there are no tree. it make the whole forest shine. unlike Disney art work. the forest look dark as hell. even there are "sun light" only at one spot. you may say because there are giant tree there so it make the forest dime . then that's the point of the artist. to make his white fur look more outstanding . The unbalance of light and shadow in this image was proof in itself about the artist 's will . even this is Amazon forest in Africa. light and shadow still look unbalance as fuck 2)Roy Disney letter . he talk about Kimba clearly 3) Matthew Broderick ― who voiced Simba ― admitted he was initially confused about his role. “I thought he meant Kimba, who was a white lion in a cartoon when I was a little kid,” 4) George Scribner The original Director of Lion king . left production, disagreeing with the decision to turn the film into a musical, and was replaced by Minkoff. When Hahn joined the project, he was dissatisfied with the script and the story was promptly rewritten. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Lion_King 5)Claw (Bubu)/Disney scar want Kitty (Laiya)Disney /Nala to be his queen. yes you heard it right. this is what Disney hide it by cut it out (delete scene) find it on youtube 6)It's the way of old disney to do a homage to old novels / fairy tales. Just like every movie they did with fairy tales and novels like Pinocchio,Snow White,Cinderella,Alice in Wonderland etc. because Tesuka Ozamu and Disney have good relation before. Ozamu said he got inspire from BAMBI. it is the time when both Disney and Tesuka help each other. but after both of their creator , Waltz Disney and Tesuka Ozamu was dead. Disney change so much. Roy E. Disney did not have real administration power anymore in the company . The Walt Disney Company narrowly survived several takeover attempts. Its shareholders Sid Bass and Roy E. Disney brought in Eisner . Michael Eisner (jew) . and they decide to change Lion king project from homage to their "original" in the middle way of it. the result is many weird evidence about kimba in this making lion king movie

  • Okay. So I did a little wiki surfing to make sure that my recollections were correct and that I am not simply suffering from Mandela Effect before commenting. I am referencing the TV series that aired on CBN in 1984 as Leo The Lion. At a young age I was utterly fascinated by the series and it was the only reason I would watch CNN. I am positive had the scenes you had referenced as the 1997 movie were in the English dubbed TV series as well.I seem to distinctly remember the baboon medicine man and the same presentation of Rune to rest of the" jungle folk" being near identical to the scene where Simba was being presented, in The Lion King. Fairly certain as well, that if one goes to the trouble of investigating the 1984 English dub This will show the reference to the 1997 movie as a red herring that many have mistakenly referenced. Like I said before I was fascinated by the '84 dub to the extent of attempting my own art of the characters I actually got decent at it as decent as 10 y/o could be expected to be at art.lol. I remember seeing the Lion King when it came out of theatres and literally saying. "That looks like a rip off." when I saw the Pride Rock scene. The Lion King akso pralells the '84 dub in a few other areas as it is not focused on Leo, but on the coming of age and the development of the cub Rune ( and to a far lesser extent Rukio his twin sister) coming of age and developing through the series as a fitting heir to rule the jungle. I stuck with the names used in the TV dub which I was familiar with. Was Kimba supposed to have been the renamed Leo or the rename for Rune? I honestly do not know. Only a dim bulb would base an argument off off similar names and not the content.

    • @analockman If Leo is his true name, why bother comparing Simba and Kimba so badly if Leo if it's his real name? So if Kimba was inspired most from King of Beast, it's fine, but if TLK is inspired most from Kimba, it's not fine?

Kimba true name is Leo. and the one who change his name is not Tesuka Osamu himself. Kimba (in USA), Simba (Disney)? Hmmmm .... S u s p I c O u s Leo , Simba (1940 comic) ? Hmmmm ....N o t S u s p I c O u s "Since names similar, based in Africa and there's humans etc since that's your point... " Name - nope. Base on africa yes . and human characters. depend on the characters relationship . and it's not similar Ozamu may got inspire from 1940 comics. but there are major differents. Leo is white lion by nature . the story was focus since he was a cub. and he ask questions about rule of jungles . his ears have black line unlike 1940 simba .

      analockmananalockman6 saatler önce
    • @analockman Simba: King of Beast came out in 1940, and Kimba came out later...so basically, Kimba rip-off King of Beast then? Since names similar, based in Africa and there's humans etc since that's your point... Example: trvision.net/detail/video-3uw6tHkgOQQ.html

I talking about how it's sound . and voice actor also roy e disney "misunderstood" are proof it's work. this is the way how business company are be careful before to decide the name of their products. Nah it's not only scare .Burazza (ブラッザー, Burazzā) / Dan'l Baboon. and Rafiki are similar . all hyena. all other animals are similar . "Simba's ears looking like a mouse" that is what Disney try to adapt . to make it more realistic . 1989 kimba ears look much more like simba ears. especially the black line around the ears

  • List of YMS logic fallacy 1)Ad Hominem (Abusive) argumentum ad hominem (also known as: personal abuse, personal attacks, abusive fallacy, appeal to the person, damning the source, name calling, refutation by caricature, against the person, against the man) Description: Attacking the person making the argument, rather than the argument itself, when the attack on the person is completely irrelevant to the argument the person is making. Logical Form: Person 1 is claiming Y. Person 1 is a moron. Therefore, Y is not true. Example #1: My opponent suggests that lowering taxes will be a good idea -- this is coming from a woman who eats a pint of Ben and Jerry’s each night! Explanation: The fact that the woman loves her ice cream, has nothing to do with the lowering of taxes, and therefore, is irrelevant to the argument. Ad hominem attacks are usually made out of desperation when one cannot find a decent counter argument. Example #2: Tony wants us to believe that the origin of life was an “accident”. Tony is a godless SOB who has spent more time in jail than in church, so the only information we should consider from him is the best way to make license plates. Explanation: Tony may be a godless SOB. Perhaps he did spend more time in the joint than in church, but all this is irrelevant to his argument or truth of his claim as to the origin of life. Exception: When the attack on the person is relevant to the argument, it is not a fallacy. In our first example, if the issue being debated was the elimination of taxes only on Ben and Jerry’s ice cream, then pointing out her eating habits would be strong evidence of a conflict of interest.

    • @Megrez Alberich it isn't entirely impossible, there are metric shit tons of stuff in my own fields that are super famous that I have no idea about, and as far as this video has laid out there are no real direct copies from kimba (or leo) to lion king, aside from lion. The human imagination is not quite so vast and infinite as we like to assume, and the scope of personal human knowledge is far more limited.

    • Which is not quite the same thing as a team of professionals working in the field of animation, who definitely knew that Tezuka was the most influencial cartoonist/animator of Japan, the "Walt Disney of Japan", and that Kimba was one of his most famous characters, along with Astroboy and Black Jack. A team of professionals who knew all along that 30 years before TLK, there was already this Japanese cartoon about a young lion prince whose closest friends and mentors are an annoying bird and an old mandrill, and whose main enemy and rival is a black lion always accompanied by a bunch of stupid, mean-spirited hyenas. That's why they felt personally insulted when Disney claimed that nobody who worked on TLK had ever heard about Tezuka and Kimba.

      Megrez AlberichMegrez Alberich17 saatler önce
  • I used to watch the 90s dub version of the 60s Kimba anime when I was 10, it was absolutely nothing like The Lion King. I watched that show everyday it came on and I never saw the warthog character that was supposedly so important to the story and acted just like Pumbaa even once. The plot of the show isn’t even similar to The Lion King aside from them both having dead dads and being king lions( which is a trope that has been common long before Kimba was made). Kimba is about animals wanting to act like humans. I do think the deigns of the characters in Kimba are cute though.

    • @analockman No, it's just that we're having a disucssion about a single character. We're talking about it because even you mentioned a difference in their characters. Should the design really be the most defining characteristic of plagiarism? Because Pumbaa and Gargoyle are pretty different characters; so different that'd I'd say it's fair to assume Disney didn't copy Gargoyle.

    • @analockman Yeah but Kimba was bound to include a boar at some point with how many animals there are in the show. The Lion King just having a boar in it doesn't mean it was copied from Kimba. That's like saying The Lion King ripped off Kimba just because both protagonists are lions. Sorry if I'm not responding properly to your comment, I'm not completely sure what it means and if you're saying The Lion King copied Kimba by having a boar.

  • But one thing I find worth critiquing on this entire video. You say "Stay classy Japan" when it comes to the king wanting a younger bride when the concept of kings and queens comes from an era of humanity in which this happened more often than you want to think. Not that I excuse it, its pretty fucked up either way you think about it but I dont think having this as a scene in the anime really shows much of the overall ideals or ideas that Japan has for their content.

    GikameGikame22 saatler önce
    • That's my only gripe with the video. Adum keeps implying that Kimba somehow condones racism, colonialism, white supremacy, child abuse, animal genocide, pedophilia, etc. when it's not really the case. Again, some of the most disturbing aspects of Kimba shown in this video are exclusive to the English dub, and are either totally absent from the original Japanese version, or much more nuanced. I don't know if Adum deliberately chose to misrepesent Kimba and if that's the reason why he relied mostly on that atrocious English dub to paint Kimba in a bad light, but that really irks me. I've got the unpleasant feeling that the message he's trying to convey is "TLK is a true masterpiece whereas Kimba is utter crap, so it's really unlikely that Disney could have taken inspiration from such a shitty, racist show".

      Megrez AlberichMegrez Alberich19 saatler önce
    • It's another element showing that Kimba was definitely a product of it's time. I do agree that the "Stay classy Japan" line does distract from the point he's trying to make about how dissimilar Claw and Scar are, but it's such a small nitpick in an otherwise great video. The only other minor issue I see with the video is during the naming conventions part, he states that ALL of the characters are based on Swahili words, when he should've stated that MOST of the characters are named after them. But again, it's an issue so minor that it doesn't affect my enjoyment of the overall video.

      Darien WestDarien West20 saatler önce

  • As far as “Cat Concerto” and “Rhapsody Rabbit” are concerned, I think it was probably that someone at one of the studios heard from a friend at the other studio that they were working on this kind of a cartoon and decided for whatever reason that they should do one too. Animators in Hollywood during the golden age typically crossed over between studios, they all knew each other, all belonged to the same union, hung out in the same places, etc. That this didn’t happen more frequently is surprising. I was in the Cartoon:Fantasy Organization back when it was new and Fred Patton did know what he was talking about but he didn’t think American animation had any steam left. He was wrong about that and wrong about Simba/Kimba.

  • Hold up. Wasn’t the 1997 Kimba film delayed because of Tezuka’s death and the release of The Lion King? The storyboard was probably done when The Lion King released. I haven’t finished watching this video, so I’ll have to come back to see if this is addressed.

    Daniel EvansDaniel EvansGün önce
    • Just finished. Good video, although I don’t know how I stuck around long enough to get to the meat of the argument. I think my favorite part is realizing that anime eyes have their roots in Bambi. My take: I still think some inspiration was taken from Kimba, though not to the point of plagiarism. The desire to even make a lion movie could have been inspired by Kimba in the same way growing up with PokéMon makes me want to create a monster capturing game. But I could be extra biased: my mom would talk about how she watched Kimba as a kid and would also accidentally call Simba “Kimba” from time to time. I’m not sure whether Kimba was really that popular in America, or if it’s just luck.

      Darien WestDarien WestGün önce
    • The 1997 movie began production in 1994 or 1995, and was Tezuka Productions' response to Disney's TLK. That's why the movie _deliberately_ copied some elements from TLK. The Japanese made this movie to get back at Disney and thumb their noses at them without making a big fuss about it in public (which would be totally against Japanese etiquette). "See? Two can play that game: our movie is not a TLK rip-off, but merely the adaptation of an old manga that was published 45 years ago. Therefore, any similarity with TLK is of course purely 'coincidental' *wink wink *nudge nudge".

This is SET B argument which he claim he have " well research" better than those who "not watch it" which is not true for all fans. and what he said about kimba 60s is the proof that he is not understand japan 60s animation by said like kimba was racist. and make fun with his father dead body. again he try to merge SET A and SET B argument like it was the same set . but it is the same set for him and he confirm himself that he was right by spam his face of hate every 5 minutes did you see his pattern ? start at present . return to past. then back to future again .he ignore SET B argument . and move to new debate about who copy who between 1994 lion king and 1960s kimba this is SET C argument . which at last he end with " i dunno lol up to you" everything he said was already knew. nothing new at all . but that is not his last epic logic fallacy .... he move back to the past again by compare between 1960s kimba and 1940s Simba comic . here is another SET D argument .... all in all there are 4 different argument SET in his 1 video . and he merge it all by his overanalysis rush to his bias conclusion . even all SET still unclear and don't get the answer of it's own.

      Nectaria KiritsiNectaria KiritsiGün önce
    • @Nectaria Kiritsi Nope it's you. Hamlet was special because it expose despair and conflict in human mind . revenge / love / and betray . it's not only kill his own uncle. there are many novels about revenge in royal family already did that .

      analockmananalockmanGün önce
    • @analockman That because all of the characters in Hamlet are humans, not animals, you moron. 😂😝👆

    • @Nectaria Kiritsi Hamlet don't have tails on his ass. come on . it's clearly rip off from Kimba. Disney main target are children . and Kimba was kids show for a long time in USA. you think Disney will use shakespeare novel for their kids' cartoon !? that's not make sense . Lion king = the cartoon about talking animals . even the story structure is not complex like Hamlet . it's just a lion revenge for his father . that's it. Hamlet is another story . it's tragedy. and have bad ending .

  • I'm a bit confused, isn't blackface when a non black person pretends to be black? This thing in this show just looks like it has racist caricaturistic character art, that also count as blackface?

    I. Cs. ZámoditsI. Cs. Zámodits3 gün önce
    • In animation, blackface is usually seen as the physical stereotypes applied to the face of a character or mock character meant to be of African heritage. So pretty much, whenever an animation has something similar to what was displayed in Kimba, it is considered blackface. Same controversy with that one Pokemon thing.

      FidelskiFidelski2 gün önce
    • @Megrez Alberich I know how that works, Cetral Europe is kinda similar to Japan in this sense. It was just weird that he called stereotipes "blackface".

      I. Cs. ZámoditsI. Cs. Zámodits3 gün önce
    • I wouldn't call it "blackface" either. As you said, in Kimba it's just racial stereotypes (that are indeed offensive and terribly dated). Most Japanese people have never met someone from a different ethnicity in real life, even today, so they just copy the racial stereotypes that they were regularly exposed to in American/Western productions. It's really due to sheer ignorance on their part. I'm not trying to say that Japanese people cannot be racist or xenophobic, but really, most of them have absolutely no idea what Black or Arab people look like in real life. Fortunately, things have changed a little. Even if there's still a long way to go... To use a recent example, they don't understand the BLM movement. Like, at all. They don't know much -if anything at all - about the history of the African-American people through the centuries, they don't know about slavery, the Civil War, public lynching, the KKK, systemic racism, discrimination, ghettos, minstrel shows, blackface, etc. I've heard about Japanese people whose reaction to the BLM movement was "well, if things are so bad in the US, why don't they just go back to their country?". They genuinely don't understand that all these African-American people demonstrating in the street *are* American and that the US _is_ their country.

    • @Visuals For You First . he start by said comparison between 1997 kimba and 1994 Lion king is wrong . but actually it's not wrong at all. because 1997 kimba actually was made long before 1994. or at least some source said 1993-1994. this is SET A argument which still unclear and he did not "debunk" anything at all except make more lies and misunderstood instead he will make this SET A argument clear . he stop it and went back to the past to tell about what exactly kimba 1960s is this is SET B argument which he claim he have " well research" better than those who "not watch it" which is not true for all fans. and what he said about kimba 60s is the proof that he is not understand japan 60s animation by said like kimba was racist. and make fun with his father dead body. again he try to merge SET A and SET B argument like it was the same set . but it is the same set for him and he confirm himself that he was right by spam his face of hate every 5 minutes did you see his pattern ? start at present . return to past. then back to future again .he ignore SET B argument . and move to new debate about who copy who between 1994 lion king and 1960s kimba this is SET C argument . which at last he end with " i dunno lol up to you" everything he said was already knew. nothing new at all . but that is not his last epic logic fallacy .... he move back to the past again by compare between 1960s kimba and 1940s Simba comic . here is another SET D argument .... all in all there are 4 different argument SET in his 1 video . and he merge it all by his overanalysis rush to his bias conclusion . even all SET still unclear and don't get the answer of it's own.

    • @Megrez Alberich Absolutely. 👍 Our brains are built like that: they're wired to spot patterns and similarities wherever they can find them. Hopefully you managed to tackle the plagiarism accusations eventually, it's very frustrating to be accused of something that you haven't actually done and sometimes it can get really bad.

      dilophosaurus65dilophosaurus653 gün önce
    • @dilophosaurus65 That's the problem with this kind of conspiracy. Once you start, you end up finding uncanny similarities everywhere. I've been falsely accused of plagiarism in the past, for an article that I wrote for a magazine. It shared some vague similarities with an online article, that I hadn't read. At first, the author of the online article only accused me of stealing a couple of things from his article. But quickly, things escalated and in the end, he said that my whole article was plagiarism. Turns out, we just had the same sources of information. He got most of his so-called "exclusive" information from someone working for the magazine, and so did I.

    • @the bunker parodie there are no the word "trope" in any asian language .and I don't care this word. "because the whole moral in kimba is verry different than the one of the lion king" great ... after you was defeat in the similarity of name / character design and role. now you come to "story" yeah in the detail it look different .but in the main story it's the same. story of lion boy who are son of old lion king. and struggle to learn how to rule the jungle . have a rival as older lion . have girl friends . the story divide into 2 part. in childhood and adult . the main characters always see the Hallucination for his inspire. and at the end he become the king . this is what it's look the same in main story concept . next about the different . Disney surely adapt the whole story into western style (more realistic) but Kimba have more various story structure . It's more deeper and subtle more than Lion King. Kimba don't learn to accept his role . he question his role and the whole forest . cutting human out make lion king lack of this deep content . " tezuka son disagree with the controversy" that's his son. not Tezuka himself . official answers from japan studio is stop fight with company because they have better lawsuits .

Also I don't think you watched the show because the whole moral in kimba is verry different than the one of the lion king(I don't remember the cycle of life being in kimba), I don't remember the presence of human character such as the hunter from episode 1 of kimba in the lion king either ,also name don't count as an argument ,since this mean that per example any character name harley is automatically a harley quinn ripp off(also tezuka son disagree with the controversy so you should just accept that the lion king isn't a kimba ripp off)
